Original Acrylic on Canvas: "Red Thread" (2025)

$880.00

Red Thread

Acrylics, Posca Pens, Red Wool and Earth (Texture) on stretched canvas.

  • Created: 2025

  • Size (Canvas): W = 100cm, H = 50cm

  • Ready to hang, with artwork wrapping around the edges.

  • Signed by the artist and includes a certificate of authenticity

This textured, new-styled artwork is symbolic of the ancestral feminine Red Thread—the connection between wombs, flowing down through our mothers, her mother, her mother’s mother. A cosmic-like connection from above links into the never-ending spiralling, representing the cycle of life and the void, weaving its way down the vulva centre and exiting out the menstrual wave, symbolising the wisdom passed down from generation to generation. This artwork is extra special and juicy as it’s my first proper dance with my new minimal, straight-angle style, bringing in new ancient shapes and feelings. It was created especially for ROOTS Festival and was born from a vision I received while living in Bello with my partner for a month during our stint on living nomadic.
