HEART OF INFLUENCE SYMPOSIUM

“Birthing the invisible”

I recently joined my brother, Harrison Meagher, for a conversation on Gnostic TV’s Heart of Influence Symposium.

Together we explored one of my favourite topics - creativity, art, and the mystery of birthing the formless into form.

In this talk I share how creativity has been both medicine and teacher in my life. We dive into how art mirrors the cycles of conception, gestation, and birth, and how connecting to the “red thread” of creativity can help us remember that art isn’t just expression - it’s how we come home to ourselves.

Contrib. to the project

In this podcast, I sit down with my good friend Jessi Simpson (also known as Bloompress) and my beloved partner Mark Flood to share a heartfelt and spontaneous conversation about what was present and alive for us in that moment in time.

I open up about my journey of adopting a ritual of drawing in my personal sketchbook - creating art just for myself. I explore how the practice has helped me release the pressure of thinking every piece I make has to be sold. Instead, how it’s become a soothing process, deepening my relationship with my art practice and allowing it to simply exist for my own joy and connection.

At the time, Mark and I were housesitting in Bellingen, taking care of a friend’s home and their dog. This podcast episode came together completely on the spur of the moment, capturing a unique kind of magic that made it a conversation I’ll never forget.

TALES OF AN ARTIST

In this podcast, I sit down with my incredibly talented fellow creative and friend, Julia Jay, in the yoga studio where I painted my first-ever mural at Topi Topi, inland from Forster. This conversation was such a long time coming, and it felt so nourishing to finally share this space together. It also marked a big moment for me, as it was my first proper debut speaking on a podcast—a real edge for me to lean into.

We cover so many topics, including:

  • The birthing of my business name, Red Lines Dancing

  • How dance, for me, is a form of storytelling

  • The beginnings of my womb-centric themes and why this theme hold such importance

  • A spoken word poem I recite, titled May you remember, born from a commission

This conversation is so close to my heart, and I’m so excited to share it with you.
